Today, despite its large potential, and even though it constitute a real asset in the fight against global warming, thermal solar technology has been largely underused.
Thanks to more than 14 years of ressearch and development, IDHELIO introduce two technologies able to produce and store high temperature heat at low cost and competitive.
We have chosen to combine the production of high temperature air with solar concentration using Fresnel mirrors and a thermal storage set up in a pebble bed.
Our team develops, industrialize and sell innovative and ecological solutions based on the following two products :
- HELIO-PROD : a solar concentration using Linear Fresnel Reflectors,
- HELIO-STORE : a Thermal Energy Storage constituted by a hot air circulation through a pebble bed.

HIGH TEMPERATURE HOT AIR
The production of high temperature hot air is the first application offered by IDHELIO: combining a solar concentrator with a thermal storage battery makes it possible to produce and send high temperature solar hot air to the user process 24 hours a day.

ELECTRICITY STORAGE
HELIO VOLT
The thermal storage of green or low-cost electricity is IDHELIO’s second application: it involves the conversion and storage of electricity produced by a photovoltaic power plant in the form of high-temperature industrial heat. It’s kind of like a hot water cumulus, but with air and rock.

COLD, STEAM…
The production of steam or cold of solar origin is a third possible application, set up through the transformation of high temperature energy..
Value
FATAL HEAT
Heat recovery from industrial fumes is the fourth application offered by IDHELIO. Instead of being lost, the waste heat can be stored in the rock bed module and re-injected later into the process chain on the same industrial site.
